You made a quick trip to Asheville because you had extra
time off from getting your wisdom teeth out on the 14th. I made lots of soup in your preparation and
we tried to have a low-key weekend. We
did make it out on Sunday to the Red Stag in Biltmore followed by the Chocolate
Lounge to celebrate Valentine’s Day. It
was my first Valentine’s Day ever with a guy and you brought me homemade
chocolates and red roses! I took you to
the chocolate lounge and gave you engraved pint beer glasses…classy, I know :)
Utah!!! We went to
Utah this past weekend to visit your family, friends, and hometown. It
was a wonderful trip! I thought it would be fun, but it totally exceeded
my expectations. I LOVED getting to see the in's and out's of your childhood
through collage years, spend more quality time with your family, meet your
friends and church family, and hang out with you "in your
element". I had such a great time! Also, I knew you were a
good skier, but actually SEEING the mountains you skied on was, well, rather
impressive and totally hot. We also just
did lots of fun things. We had lunch with your parents at a Brazilian
Steakhouse. Then we headed over to Mat's house for an "engagement
party". The party was themed "A Taste of Utah". Lots
of friends and church family stopped by and each of them brought some food that
is popular in Utah. I tried Mormon Muffins, green jello, scones and honey
butter, Fry sauce, Aggie Ice Cream, and Funeral Potatoes to name a few.
On Saturday we went hiking (in the snow!!), then sat in the outside hot tube
(with snow all around!!), ate Ceviche and Lime pizza at Slackwaters,
"Fuzzy Peaches" at The Bistro with Mat, headed to Salt Lake City for
the afternoon where you bought me 5 chocolates for losing my 5 lbs, a beer at
Squatters, and then back home for family game night and hamburgers. Sunday was spent by going to church, hanging
out, sledding, and topped-off with a wonderful Valentine Dinner, a Krishnan
family tradition! We totally made out on
the couch in the basement and I fell SO freaking more in love with you. I could not believe how much I loved you
after this trip!
